About The Artist

Emma Sewell is an Oregon-based storyboard artist and digital illustrator. Her practice is ultimately influenced by musicality, asexuality, and the plain old fantastical. Her work consists of vibrantly moody illustrations, character-focused comics with silly narratives, and animation work that veers into playfully dark comedy with a dash of much-needed hope. Each work holds their trademark flexibly sharp lines, bright digital colors, and cartoonish expressions. Sewell dedicates themselves to supporting queer (LGBTQ+) people and even more queer (bizarre) worlds in their art.
